WordCamp Europe 2025 is set for 5–7 June in Basel, Switzerland at the Messe Basel and Congress center. With its riverside beauty, walkable streets, and beautiful culture, Basel offers the perfect setting for the WordPress community to come together. Whether you build sites, write code, design, or run businesses online, WordCamp Europe is where conversations start, ideas grow, and partnerships form. It’s not just an event. It’s a meeting place for people who care about building the open web, and you’re invited!
Why are WordCamps important and what are they?
WordCamps are informal, community-organized conferences that focus on everything WordPress. They’re where people come together to share ideas, learn new skills, and collaborate on the future of the platform we all love. Whether you’re a beginner building your first site, a developer contributing to core, or a business owner growing your online presence, WordCamps offer something valuable for everyone. They are a space for connection, inspiration, and action, and WordCamp Europe is the biggest of them all.
Contributor Day: How to get involved
Before the main event, WordCamp Europe hosts Contributor Day: A full day dedicated to giving back to the WordPress project. You don’t have to be a developer to contribute; there are teams for marketing, design, support, training, documentation, and much more. It’s a chance to work alongside other passionate folks and make a real impact.
If you want to be part of Contributor Day, signup forms will be shared soon. New to contributing? No problem! Check out the guides on WordPress.org to learn how to get started. Every contribution, no matter how small, moves the community forward.
